What is merrimack valley river hawks?

The Merrimack Valley River Hawks are a college sports team representing Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. The team competes in NCAA Division I athletics as a member of the Hockey East Conference. The River Hawks have a successful ice hockey program, with the men's team winning the Hockey East championship in 2013 and making numerous NCAA tournament appearances. The women's ice hockey team also competes in Hockey East, and the River Hawks also have teams in basketball, cross country, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball. The school's mascot is Mack, a large, anthropomorphic river hawk.
